Your Pathway

Your Career

“Students have tailored pathways, expert teaching, and the support they need to excel academically.”
Ofsted Report, 2024

At our specialist ‘Pathways’ Sixth Form, everything we do is built around one clear principle: Your Pathway, Your Career.

We offer a unique and structured programme that aligns each student’s ambitions with the most effective school-led, university-led, and business-led outreach opportunities available. From masterclasses and webinars to mentoring and enrichment, every element is designed to deepen your understanding of higher education and careers, raise your attainment, and build the confidence you need to thrive.

Whether your destination is university, a degree apprenticeship, or direct employment, our Pathways provide tailored, high-quality experiences during tutor time, independent study, and at home—ensuring your application stands out nationally. In fact, completion of some programmes can even lead to reduced university offers (e.g. BBB instead of AAA), giving you a significant advantage. With academic progress rates that rival the very best sixth forms in the country, our approach doesn’t just open doors—it helps you walk confidently through them.

Level 3 apprenticeship (Advanced Apprenticeship)

Generally considered as the equivalent to two A Level passes.

Level 4 apprenticeship (Higher Apprenticeship)

The equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree.

Level 5 apprenticeship (Higher Apprenticeship)

The second level of higher apprenticeships is the equivalent to a foundation degree. It’s not unusual to see some more specific requirements from employers.

Level 6 apprenticeship (Degree apprenticeship)

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and is mostly provided by universities. Entry requirements vary, but there may be some specific requirements, such as GCSEs and Level 3 qualifications (like an advanced apprenticeship, A Levels, BTEC or NVQ).

Level 7 apprenticeship (Degree apprenticeship)

The equivalent to a master’s degree. There might also be some entry requirements that include a Level 4 or 5 apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, a Level 6 higher apprenticeship or experience relevant to the apprenticeship.
